MITCHELSTOWN TEAMS TO MOVE TO TOWN PARK?

Mitchelstown teams of various codes will be in a position to relocate to the redeveloped O’Connell Park, those overseeing the project revealed this week. Tony Lewis, one of the trustees of O’Connell Park said that the group, hope to hear from sporting organisations within the parish interested in using the facilities.

The village of Galbally is this week reeling at the news of the shock death of local community council secretary, Carol Hickey. A resident of Old Street, Galbally, she was found at a house in a residential estate in the village of Patrickswell, county Limerick shortly after 7.30pm on Tuesday night.

ANGRY MOTORIST SLAMS LOCAL PARKING CHAOS

A local man, working in Mitchelstown, has criticised the standard of parking in the town. “It’s insanity,” the man claimed, “On certain days if you park for too long on the street you get a ticket even if your car or van is parked well within the white lines. I have never seen or heard of any of the bad parking in the town being punished.”
