The Avondhu Press Newspaper was established in 1978 and covers the areas of North East Cork, West Waterford, South Limerick and South Tipperary. This successful weekly - published Thursday - boasts a readership in excess of 39,000. The first edition was a modest 4 page edition which has since grown to an average of 80 pages.

BAD DEBT QUESTIONS RAISED AT CREDIT UNION A.G.M.

There was visible unease amongst some members of the attendance as an unprepared board of directors were unable to answer questions regarding the writing off of bad debts at the Mitchelstown Credit Union AGM.

MINISTER TO OPEN FERMOY COURTHOUSE

Brian Lenihan, the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, will perform the official re-opening of the Fermoy Courthouse at 12 noon on Monday next, December 17. Circuit Court judge Patrick Moran will represent the board of the Court Services at the opening.
