A special segregated section to house some of Ireland’s most feared gangland criminals is planned for the new jail that is to be built at Kilworth. It is expected that this new jail will house 30 of these inmates.

JOB LOSS FEARS AT SCI

Speculation is mounting that a substantial number of jobs are to go at the Sanmina-SCI plant in Fermoy. Sanmina-SCI’s contract manufacturing facility in Fermoy was established in 1989 by SCI and became Sanmina-SCI following the 2002 merger of Sanmina and SCI.

MASS PROTEST AT GOVERNMENT’S FERMOY WEIR PROPOSAL
