LISMORE’S MUNSTER TRIUMPH

Blackwater Community School, Lismore created history in defeating St Caimin’s Community School, Shannon in the Munster senior championship camogie final on Saturday last.

In doing so they became the first side to win the D, C, B and A divisions in consecutive years. In a titanic battle between two extremely committed teams it was one score that separated the teams at full-time on a final tally of 9 points to 8.

The win marked a significant milestone for this wonderful camogie nursery in West Waterford.
